A group for collecting Jojo's Bizarre Adventure fanart and fanfiction and bringing fans together! All parts, characters and ships are welcome!
GALLERY SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
1. WIPs and any form of screenshots are not allowed.
As for WIPs, things like completely cleaned up linearts may get a pass if posted one time. However, please refrain from posting the same drawing 100 times in the span of a week. We’ve all seen it at this point and don’t want multiple copies in our favourites. It’s recommended to contribute only finished work or optionally, update WIP entries using the edit deviation option.
2. Traced and/or eyeballed art is not allowed.
I think tracing is pretty self-explanatory; Eyeballing, on the other hand, means drawing something yourself from scratch by copying a reference so closely the end result is nearly identical. It is unfair to post “cheaper” version of someone else’s art, even if you made it yourself. We’ve all most likely seen the original picture anyway. Copying the pose, character, lighting and colors is not considered using a reference. It lacks creativity and defeats the purpose of fan art.
Screenshot redraw challenges are accepted, as long as some creativity was put into it. It seems pointless to recreate something only for it to look the same in the end.
3. Colored manga panels, recolors, edits, moodboards using copyrighted photos etc. are not allowed.
Pretty much the same reasons as above + legal terms.
4. Members are asked to consider submitting only what they think to be their best work, spread and/or limit the number of their submissions a week, so that “art flood” can be avoided.
The group gallery is not your personal art dump. Everyone grows sick of “that guy” they see in their inbox every day. You can submit everything you’ve created if you wish to, just be reasonable and don’t submit 20 things immediately and/or every day.
This also goes for 5 minute sketches and otherwise “dumb doodles”. Just... think of submitting art to the group as sending your art to some kind of competition or public gallery.
5. 3D modelling art (MMD, SFM etc.) is not allowed unless you have the rights to the models aka you created them yourself or they are free to use.
Goes under the “creativity + effort” clause. Also legal terms.
Any member not adhering to these rules may have their art rejected in the submitting process, removed from the group or be completely removed from the group themselves.
